Dr. Fairfax F. Fair
Pastor
502-451-2910 ext. 223
Dr. Fairfax F. Fair was called as pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church in 2004. Prior to moving to Louisville, she served churches in Franklin, Tennessee and Houston, Texas. Dr. Fair is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary (now Union Theological Seminary-Presbyterian School of Christian Education) in Richmond, Virginia and Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia. Her passions are preaching and people, and she thrives on the variety of ministry.
Dr. Fair says, "It is a privilege to lead worship with God's people. We worship joyfully because we worship a living God who cares deeply about us each one. All our lives are our response to God's graciousness toward us. We gather to hear God's word read and proclaimed in scripture, sermon, and song, then go out into the world to enjoy God's good creation and to serve, grateful that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Dr. Fair, who was widowed at an early age, is the mother of one son, Walker. She enjoys walks in Cherokee Park, good books, and lively conversation. She has an insatiable desire to learn, loves dogs, and admits to a serious weakness for chocolate. She is a native Arkansan and a life-long Presbyterian.
