Cynthia Campbell joined the Highland Church staff on September 1 as Interim Pastor/Head of Staff. A native of Pasadena, California, Cynthia began her ministry in Texas and served in three congregations before completing her Ph. D. She joined the faculty of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 1981 where she taught theology and ministry and directed the Doctor of Ministry Program. In 1988, she was called to the First Presbyterian Church of Salina, Kansas, as Pastor/Head of Staff, one of the first women to serve a congregation of over 1,000 members as pastor. In 1995, she was named President of McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago (one of the ten seminaries of the Presbyterian Church). When she retired in June, her dream was to return to congregational ministry and is delighted to have been invited to Highland. She is the author of A Multitude of Blessings: A Christian Approach to Religious Diversity (2007) and God's Abundant Table (2011). Cynthia is married to Fred Holper, who recently retired from teaching preaching and worship at McCormick Seminary. They have two adult children who live in Milwaukee and are also the proud human companions of Shadow the cat.

Doug has attended Highland Presbyterian Church since August 2009. He is an honorably retired pastor, having served most recently at Second Presbyterian Church in Louisville, KY, as Associate Pastor for Congregational Care. He was Parish Associate at Highland for the past year and a half. He enjoys retirement by working in the garden and keeping the yard in good shape, and traveling as often as possible. He and his wife Anna Gray also play golf together and that keeps him humble. They have three adult children and six grandchildren, ages 9 years to 4 months. He has agreed to serve as temporary pastor while we search for an interim.

Doodle was called by the congregation of Highland Presbyterian Church on September 21, 2008, and ordained and installed on December 7, 2008. She is a native of Moultrie, Georgia and a life-long Presbyterian. Doodle holds a B.A. from Presbyterian College, a Masters in Music Theory from the University of South Carolina, and a M. Div. from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She has a lot of experience in youth ministry and a great passion for it!

In searching for where God was calling her to serve, Doodle wrote: "I would like to serve in a church where people worship God with their head and hearts. This church would believe that the core of ministry is relationships with God, among members, and with others seeking to bring hope and justice to the world."

In her spare time, Doodle enjoys a variety of activities including watching baseball games, trying new foods, traveling, playing with her cats, and reading. She has been to Disney World 17 times!!!

Linda joined the staff of Highland Presbyterian Church in December, 2010 as parish associate. She is a 1996 graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. She was ordained in December, 1996 in Huntington West Virginia where she served in two churches. Linda's ministry at Highland will focus on teaching and visitations with the elderly and shut-ins.

Linda has two grown daughters, Jenny and Becky, who live in Louisville Her hobbies include spending time with her daughters and their friends, photography (especially wildlife), hiking, reading and playing with her two dogs, a chocolate lab and a shepherd mix.

Frank oversees the Ministry of Music. His role is to foster the spiritual and musical growth of this congregation. Planning and implementing worship, meeting with the Worship and Spiritual Life Team, nurturing the various choral and instrumental ensembles as well as individual vocalists and instrumentalists, and coordinating the music staff are the major components of his work at Highland. He is a native Louisvillian. He and his wife, Donna, have three children (Jennifer, Shannon, and April) and two grandchildren (Ezekiel and Jasmine).

Randy joined the staff at Highland Presbyterian Church in 2008. In this 10-hour a week position, Randy works with Team Leaders and others to pair members’ interests with needs in the congregation and community.

Randy holds degrees from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia and the University of Louisville College of Law. She and her husband Tom are members of Christ Church Cathedral.
