Guiding Principle: We are called as the Church of Jesus Christ to provide opportunities for adults to grow in wisdom, faith and love. Through our Christian Formation and Education we strive to give adults structure for deliberating and understanding God's Word, discovering historical and theological teachings, creating community, connecting faith and life, being encouraged in prayer and practices, experiencing spiritual growth and transformation, and finding more avenues for sharing God's love through service and mission in the world. Adults at Highland are involved in many other areas of church life, and we hope all our adults will get involved in a class or group to engage with one another and grow in faith.
Adult Sunday School
Meets 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. (school year) and 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. (summer)
- for adults of all ages
- for mixed groups not defined by typical adult categories like age groups, singles, parents, young couples
- led by teaching teams that allow for guided discussion
For the summer (from the Sunday after Memorial Day to the Sunday before Labor Day), there is one adult class meeting. The class meets in the Chapel. Use the Highland Ave. Fellowship Hall entrance and proceed up the stairs to the first room on the right. If you need an elevator, proceed through the fellowship hall to the back hallway, turn left, and the elevator is at the end of the hallway on the right.
